Find your 4th of July fireworks

4th of July Fireworks

Are you ready to commemorate the Declaration of Independence of the United States that occurred on July 4, 1776? Do you have those hamburger patties and hot dogs ready? How about some delicious potato salad and corn on the cob while making sure you save some space for that guilt-free slice of apple pie?

And after all that of course, you can’t miss the big event “The Fireworks Spectacle” But before you either buy legal fireworks in your city or go to a public show don’t forget a few tips:

  • At home, light the fireworks in a safe area; away from structures
  • Look out for tree limbs or bushes that could catch fire
  • Remove dead leaves from roof and gutters
  • Water your roof before you light the fireworks
  • Have a bucket of water, sand, garden hose or fire extinguisher at the firing site
  • Supervise children

Also, did you know that most pets go missing over the Fourth of July weekend than any other time of the year? To avoid this, please take extra precautions to protect your furry loved ones:

  • Make sure your pet has a collar with an ID tag on it
  • Allow your pets to hide in a room away from windows
  • If your pet is outside, make sure all gates are closed
  • Do not take your pets to community fireworks events

Now that you’ve taken all the necessary precautions to have a safe 4th of July holiday, here is a list of the cities that allow legal fireworks and the ones that will have a public displayHave a wonderful 4th of July
